Polyurethane Foam is a resilient and flexible foam that can be made in an unlimited number of colors with densities from 1-6 pounds per cubic foot, and in compressions from very soft to semi rigid. There are currently several hundred formulations available to meet your needs. Fabrication is easy with inexpensive tooling such as steel rule dies for die cut parts to patterns for contour and saw cut shapes. These foams have consistent cell sizes that make them excellent absorbers and dampeners of sound. They are easily laminated to films, pressure sensitive adhesives, corrugated, fabrics and other types of foams. Polyurethane Foam can be adapted to meet the Fire Retardant requirements of the government and military. Best of all, Polyurethane foams are inexpensive when compared to all the cushioning products available today.

Polyethlyene is a closed cell foam available in densities from 1.7-9 pounds per cubic foot, allowing for package designs for a variety of product weights and sizes. Because it is resilient and flexible, it can take repeated shocks and still protect against damage. Its high load bearing characteristics help reduce packaging costs by using thinner and smaller amounts of foam. Ethafoam's tear and compressive strength allows manufacturers to reuse it several times, reducing their costs and helping the environment. Ethafoam is easily fabricated into a variety of shapes and sizes with inexpensive steel rule dies and custom cut patterns.

Applications:

  • Cushion Packaging
  • Display Packaging
  • Low Pressure Gaskets
  • Floatation Devices
  • Insulation Cushion Devices for Construction, Medical, Recreational and Manufacturing Applications
  • Material Handling in and between plants
  • Anti-Static Grades

Because polyester foam comes in a wide range of grades, it is the ideal product for packaging.

Esters are more resistant (compared to ethers) to hydrocarbons or alcohols. Esters can withstand stretching and tearing due to excellent physical properties of tensile, tear and elongation. The cell structure of esters is finer and the result is a more uniform appearance.

These foams are available in a variety of colors, densities from 2-12 pounds per cubic foot, and thicknesses from 3/32" to 4" thick. Crosslinking Polyethylene Foam enables it to be used for applications not normally associated with P.E. foams. Crosslinking improves the resilience, elasticity, and temperature stability that allows the material to be used in a wider range of temperatures (-100 degrees F to +180 degrees F). It has higher tensile and tear strengths, and thermoformable and vacuum formable smooth surfaces which eliminate abrasion. It is also ozone resistant. Many of these foams are compatible with food and can be used for medical applications. Special additives, such as EVA improves softness, and FR meets UL94HFI.

Applications:

  • Medical Applications
  • Floatation Devices
  • Toys
  • Foam Tapes
  • Gaskets & Seals
  • Consumer Products
  • Decorative Packaging
  • Automotive Trunk and Head Liners

Polyethylene foam is an environmentally friendly and extremely lightweight product that boasts excellent insulation and performance characteristics. Available in a wide range of colors, polyethylene foam can be foamed into many shapes in a variety of densities, ranging from 2 pounds to 22 pounds per cubic foot. In tubing, it offers a full range of inside diameter choices from as small as 1/8" I.D. to as large as 4-1/2" I.D. and in various wall thicknesses, creating a tube to match your specification.

Custom profile products are specially designed foam products that represent a broad range of categories: tubes, rods, planks and more. Colors, densities and shapes can all be modified to suit most applications as needed.

Vinyl nitrile foams are closed cell products, generally of low-density construction. They are excellent products for cushioning, vibration dampening, and shock absorption. They are especially oil resistant. These products are die-cuttable to customer specification

Neoprene and EDPM are closed cell foams. They are compressible and flexible and are used for gasketing, providing long lasting seals. EDPM's are specially formulated to withstand wide temperature ranges and are excellent for sealing and weather stripping applications. These products are die-cuttable to customer specification.

Densified Polyester Fiber is available in densities from 1.31-2.25 pounds per cubic foot and in thicknesses from 1/2-8". Higher densities can be achieved in thicknesses less than 3" thick and widths up to 90". This 100% polyester fiber is manufactured by the latest product technology to create a new product that is physically superior and meets the most rigid flammability standards. Fibers are fused to one another without chemical bonding agents which are subject to break down under flexing. Polyester can be used outdoors with high moisture conditions. Because of its construction, water drains completely through the fiber without any absorption. This reduces the mildew potential, and the fiber remains completely dry, which is especially important in boat seats.

Applications:

  • Medical & Institutional
  • Mattresses
  • Futons
  • Outdoor & Indoor Furniture Cushions
  • Mattress Toppers
  • Boat Cushions & Padded Panels
  • Waterbed Baffles Filters
